Deep Tech Startup AlgoFET Raises ₹15 Crore Pre-Series A Funding Led by Piper Serica to Expand Global Autonomous Drone Infrastructure

Deep tech startup AlgoFET has officially announced the successful closing of its ₹15 Crore pre-Series A funding round, led by venture capital firm Piper Serica. Founded in December 2023 by Ankit Mishra, the Bengaluru-based company is pioneering the ground infrastructure layer for autonomous drones. The fresh capital injection will be deployed to accelerate product R&D, expand in-house manufacturing capabilities, strengthen proprietary intellectual property, and scale commercial deployments across defense, enterprise, and international markets.
Why is it interesting?
AlgoFET tackles one of the drone industry’s primary bottlenecks: the continuous need for manual intervention during charging, battery swaps, and fleet redeployment. The company has engineered a fully vertically integrated hardware, software, and firmware stack operating across five key layers: autonomous docking mechanisms, intelligent battery management systems, high-power charging, embedded electronics, and cloud-based fleet monitoring.
To date, AlgoFET has deployed more than 2,000 units and holds an active order pipeline exceeding 4,000 units. Beyond its strong presence among Indian defense, government, and logistics clients, the startup is successfully expanding its global footprint, securing early traction from drone manufacturers and operators across the United States and Europe.
