Global student living technology startup House of Student has successfully raised $2 million in a seed funding round structured through a combination of equity and debt. The round was co-led by Saltwater Sutra and Nirmitsu Inspirational Ventures, with strategic participation from angel investors Gautam Verlekar, Glen Fernandes, Richard McCallum, Ali Moosa, and existing investor Unilodgers. Co-headquartered in Gurugram and the United States, the startup manages an extensive network of over 2.5 million verified student rooms across key global education destinations, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UAE, and 18 European countries.

Founded in February 2025 by serial entrepreneur Vaibhav Verma who previously built Unilodgers into a pioneering marketplace valued at $109 million House of Student offers automated online bookings and housing network management. The newly raised capital will be allocated toward accelerating product innovation, expanding global housing supply, fortifying AI capabilities, and scaling support services for international students, reinforcing India’s emerging role as a global knowledge and innovation hub.
