Centricity Raises ₹280 Crore Series A Funding Led by SMBC Asia Rising Fund to Scale Wealthtech Ecosystem Globally
What is the news?
Gurugram-based wealthtech platform Centricity has successfully raised ₹280 crore in its Series A funding round, led by Japan’s SMBC Asia Rising Fund. The financing round witnessed continued backing from key existing investors, including Lightspeed India Partners, Burman Family Office, RAAY Investments, Stride Ventures, and Innoven Capital. The latest infusion follows the company’s previous capital raises of $4 million in 2022 and $18 million in 2024, demonstrating consistent investor confidence in its growth trajectory.
Why is it interesting?
Founded in 2022 by Manu Awasthy, Aditya Shankar, Pushpendra Singh, and Gaurav Tiwari, Centricity provides plug-and-play wealth management and technology infrastructure for financial advisors, single-family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. Operating through specialized verticals including One Digital, Invictus Private Wealth, and Centricity Global Private Client, the platform currently manages over ₹15,000 crore in assets under management (AUM) and serves more than 100,000 investors across 250+ family offices.
The newly acquired funds will be strategically deployed to enhance Centricity’s proprietary tech platform, scale its distribution network, and accelerate its global footprint. Centricity aims to capitalize on cross-border wealth solutions through its established operations in GIFT City and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), alongside hiring 35–40 dedicated NRI bankers and over 50 private bankers in India to meet growing demand.
