Scaling Next-Gen Entertainment: Mayank Yadav’s Rusk Media Raises ₹100 Crore Pre-Series C to Fuel AI Capabilities and Global IP Expansion

What is the news?

Digital entertainment powerhouse Rusk Media has announced major milestones in its growth trajectory, securing ₹100 crore ($10.6 million) in a Pre-Series C funding round. The investment was led by prominent gaming and sports media company Nazara Technologies, with active participation from key institutional investors including Info Edge Ventures, IvyCap Ventures, and Audacity VC. This latest infusion brings the startup’s total funding to approximately $32 million since its inception.

Why is it interesting?

Founded in 2019 by Mayank Yadav, Rusk Media has established itself as a premier creator of mobile-first content, building highly engaged virtual communities around fiction, unscripted shows, and vertical dramas. Serving as a prime example of the thriving Global Indian Alpha ecosystem, the company plans to utilize the capital to expand its content portfolio and scale its owned platform, Alright! TV. Crucially, Rusk Media is eyeing international corridors, planning to take its popular proprietary intellectual properties like I-Popstar and Engaged into global markets.

In addition to market expansion, Rusk Media is actively pivoting toward next-generation tech integration. The company is set to invest heavily in proprietary, AI-driven production capabilities designed to streamline content workflows, lower overhead operational costs, and boost cross-platform monetisation. Distributed via major OTT networks such as Amazon MX Player and JioHotstar, Rusk Media’s financial metrics reflect its strong operational footing, showing a 43.1% revenue increase to ₹81.38 crore in FY25 while successfully narrowing its losses.
