Loop AI Secures $14M Series A to Transform Restaurant Operations via Agentic AI
What is the news?
Loop AI, the enterprise-grade AI platform purpose-built for the restaurant and retail back office, has announced the successful closure of a $14 million Series A funding round. Led by Nyca Partners, the round saw significant participation from industry veterans including Gokul Rajaram, along with Base10, Afore Capital, and Alumni Ventures. Founded in 2022 by Anand Tumuluru and Sundar Annamalai, both veterans of the Silicon Valley tech scene with backgrounds at Uber and Google, Loop AI is tackling the “profitability gap” in the rapidly expanding delivery sector.
Why is it interesting?
The company’s technology operates as an “agentic co-worker,” leveraging AI to handle the intricate financial and operational workflows that often drain margins for restaurant operators. Since 2024, the startup has grown sixfold and now supports thousands of locations for major brands like Whataburger and Lazy Dog. With this new injection of capital, Loop AI plans to accelerate its product roadmap and significantly increase its headcount across its strategic global hubs in New York, San Francisco, and Bengaluru.
This milestone underscores the rising influence of the Global Indian Alpha founders who are not only innovating in the AI space but are also bridging the talent and technology corridors between India and the United States to build world-class enterprise solutions.
