Suminter India Organics Secures ₹25 Crore Debt Funding From BlackSoil Capital to Boost Global Sourcing

What is the news?

Organic and sustainable food ingredients enterprise Suminter India Organics has secured ₹25 crore in debt funding from venture debt firm BlackSoil Capital. Founded and led by Sameer Mehra, the company manages an integrated farm-to-market platform covering sourcing, certification, processing, and global distribution of certified organic products.

The newly raised capital will enable Suminter to source premium organic ingredients at scale while expanding engagement across its network of over 100,000 smallholder farmers in India, the Philippines, and Africa. Suminter supplies key ingredients including spices, coconut products, oilseeds, cocoa, sweeteners, and natural fibers to leading international food and ingredient brands across North America, Europe, and other global markets.

By combining full supply chain traceability with regenerative farming practices, Suminter highlights the growing leadership of Indian-origin founders in establishing sustainable, global-first agricultural networks.
