Global Tech Leaders Join Forces: Google for Startups and Scaler Initiate AI Skill Program to Accelerate India’s Product-First Ecosystem
What is the news?
In a significant boost to India’s burgeoning startup landscape, Google for Startups has announced a partnership with tech skilling company Scaler to launch “Startup School: Prompt to Prototype.” This highly focused, two-week online program is strategically designed to equip early-stage Indian origin founders and their teams with the skills to rapidly transform ideas into working AI prototypes.
The initiative directly addresses the global trend of “idea literacy” becoming the new currency, aiming to dismantle traditional coding barriers and enable non-technical founders to leverage advanced tools like Gemini, Imagen, and NotebookLM.
Why is it interesting?
While India boasts a vast startup community, fewer than 2% of these are truly AI-native. By enabling founders to build AI-first solutions faster and more effectively, the partnership seeks to position India not just as a source of technical talent, but as a creator of world-class, globally competitive AI products. The program, which runs from November 27 to December 7, 2025, also receives backing from key government entities, including MeitY Startup Hub and India AI Mission, signifying its alignment with the national goal of fostering a deep-tech economy.
