- IndiaAI Mission has selected three new startups- Soket AI, Conversational AI solutions for Contact Center automation , and Gan.AI – Powering the future of Communication to develop indigenous foundation models, bringing the total to four startups under this initiative.
- The government has also announced a second round of AI compute empanelment, adding 15,000 GPUs to bring total available GPU compute capacity to 34,000.

- This represents India’s strategic move from being a services hub to becoming an AI product powerhouse. Soket AI is building India’s first open-source 120 billion parameter foundation model optimized for linguistic diversity, while Conversational AI solutions for Contact Center automation focuses on multilingual voice AI with 14 billion parameters.
