Norwegian climatetech startup Installer has secured a $4M seed round led by Brighteye Ventures, with PT1, Futurum, and Sondo also participating. Their goal? To build the Shopify for renewable assets, tackling one of the biggest bottlenecks in the industry-installation and maintenance.
The overlooked problem in renewables
While many companies focus on developing EV chargers, batteries, and heat pumps, over 70% of customers cite installation as a critical part of their experience. Installer is solving this by:
- Matching jobs with skilled installers using AI-driven job dispatch.
- Reducing installation delays with a streamlined, data-driven platform.
- Creating a scalable backend infrastructure to help companies deploy assets faster and at lower costs.
Why we find this interesting:
The renewable energy challenge isn’t just about innovation; it’s about execution. Countries like India and Norway, among others, are scaling their clean energy ambitions, but deployment bottlenecks remain a major hurdle. Platforms like Installer could be an interesting blueprint globally due to fragmented supply chains and workforce management.
