Empowering Factories: Workroom Automation Secures ₹6.2 Crore Seed Funding for Manufacturing Intelligence

What is the news?

Workroom Automation, a Hyderabad-based startup founded by Abhinav Atthota (CEO) and Rohan Agarwal (CTO), has announced a successful ₹6.2 crore Seed funding round led by Equirus InnovateX Fund. The round also saw significant backing from Astir Ventures and Venture Catalysts Group, marking the company’s first institutional raise.

Why is it interesting?

Founded in 2022, Workroom Automation addresses the “context gap” in modern manufacturing. While many factories have data, they lack a unified system to connect ERP, MES, and shopfloor activities. Workroom’s platform provides this missing intelligence layer, using its proprietary AI Planning Engine to transform complex demand into optimized daily production plans.

The fresh capital will be used to accelerate product development and scale go-to-market efforts. By enabling manufacturers in sectors like automotive and electronics to transition toward autonomous operations, Workroom is positioning itself as a critical player in the global manufacturing technology landscape, further establishing the prowess of Indian-origin founders on the world stage.
