Moe Puppy Fetches ₹2 Crore in Pre-Seed Funding to Scale Its “Safety-First” Pet Care Ecosystem
What is the news?
Gurugram-based D2C pet care startup Moe Puppy has announced a significant milestone in its journey, raising ₹2 crore in a pre-seed funding round. This round was led by the prominent startup accelerator PedalStart, alongside Zindagi Live Angel Fund and several angel investors. This marks the company’s first external capital injection since it was founded in 2023 by Manish Paul, a certified pet trainer whose personal experience with his dog’s allergies inspired him to build a “made-in-India” alternative to costly, often chemical-heavy imported pet products.
Why is it interesting?
Moe Puppy focuses on clean-label, science-backed grooming and wellness solutions that are free from parabens, sulfates, and toxins. The startup has seen rapid adoption, reaching over 100,000 customers through an omnichannel strategy that includes Amazon, Blinkit, Zepto, and their own D2C website. The founders intend to utilize the new capital to strengthen their R&D capabilities, optimize their supply chain, and scale their branding efforts as they aim to evolve into a full-stack pet care platform.
Beyond its commercial success, Moe Puppy is committed to the broader pet ecosystem, collaborating with veterinarians and shelters to promote responsible pet parenting. With plans to expand into international corridors like the Middle East and the US, Moe Puppy is a prime example of an Indian-origin brand building world-class solutions for a global audience.
